Harmony Aldridge

Harmony Aldridge is a lawyer-turned-coach who knows firsthand the challenges of building a fulfilling career while balancing everything life throws your way.

Harmony spent more than 15 years as an employment lawyer, with roles at Norton Rose Fulbright, Allen & Overy, and in-house at companies like BDO and Virgin Australia, and brings that practical experience to Como Legal Coaching and all her clients.

Then, like so many female lawyers, Harmony found herself at a crossroads where life, law, and happiness no longer seemed to intersect. Her exploration into how law can be done differently ultimately led to the decision to have her Practising Certificate lapse for the fourth and, so far, final time when Como Legal Coaching launched.

The decision to co-found a coaching business did not come lightly. Harmony’s business and coach training has included work with Shirlaws Group, Open Up, and I Am Lovable; she has also been a director and advisory board member of the parent company Just Adore since 2010.

Harmony’s approach is centred on helping her clients rediscover joy and purpose in what they do while practicing self-compassion and acceptance—so they can lead with confidence and find success without sacrificing their well-being. Her ability to combine the Commercial and Cultural, Business and Personal distinctions is what sets Como Legal Coaching apart from other industry mentors and advisors.

Jacob Aldridge

Jacob Aldridge has spent the past 20 years as a business coach, working at depth with more than 400 privately-owned companies in 14 countries around the world.

With a reputation as the smart and quirky coach who makes change happen, Jacob’s success stems from the belief that business is better when it’s fun.

While the Como methodology delivers consistent and sustainable business results, progressive business owners also value Jacob’s ability to connect complex concepts and distil into actionable insight. Ideas are worthless, and execution is priceless, so Como Legal Coaching’s approach is always focused on how to ensure significant and lasting change is implemented in the firms and lawyers we work with.

Jacob has presented at a number of legal industry and broader professional services conferences, including FLPA, The Happy Lawyer Retreat, World Business and Executive Coach Summit, Key Person of Influence, and internal conferences throughout Australia and internationally. In 2022 he was nominated to the Virtual Speakers Hall of Fame for his pandemic-related keynote “Don’t Waste a Good Recession”.

2002

Graduated University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Journalism & Bachelor of Arts (English and History), plus the Prize for Highest Graduating GPA.

2003

Set a Guinness World Record for the World’s Longest Movie Marathon in 2003, enduring 63 hours and 27 minutes for non-stop viewing.

2006

Launched his business coaching business in 2006 in Australia, and was a pioneer of remote coaching with his first online clients in 2010.

Como Legal Coaching

Como Legal Coaching is named after Lake Como, in the North of Italy. Lake Como remains our favourite travel destination – it’s where we began our 2008 honeymoon and celebrated Jacob’s first Fathers Day in 2019.

Como also represents our vision: coaching law-firm owners and senior lawyers wherever they are in the world, while having the freedom to travel and worldschool as a family.

The specifics of our Como vision are not your vision; but we only achieve our business vision by helping you to achieve yours.

We stand beside those lawyers brave enough to say “I want to do law and life my way”.
